Editorial policy
Emerald City Journal aims to publish careful, readable stories about Seattle's parks and urban nature. We value clear sourcing, honest limits and a visible distinction between editorial work and paid or partner material.
Accuracy and independence
We check factual claims against suitable sources and take care with names, descriptions and dates. Where information is uncertain or subject to change, we say so rather than making it sound settled. Editorial decisions are made for reader relevance and clarity; a commercial relationship does not determine our conclusions or guarantee coverage.
Corrections
If you spot an error, contact us through the Contact page and identify the relevant story and detail. We review correction requests and, when a change is warranted, amend the story clearly and proportionately. We do not promise that every disagreement calls for a correction, but we take specific, verifiable concerns seriously.
Partnerships and illustrations
Paid placements and partner material are labelled clearly so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial stories. We do not present payment as an editorial recommendation. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when an image is AI-generated, we identify it accordingly.
